On Halloween the thousand-year-old castle walls are divided into four separate empires.
o Empire 1: The inner ward which will be the setting for fantastic stage shows, druides and vampires
o Empire 2: The moat with its cemetary, zombies, hangmen, werewolf, witches and
o Empire 3: The powder tower – reminiscent of medieval torture chambers
o Empire 4: The lower castle will house the food, the drinks and the musice and no monsters!

ghosts at Burg Frankenstein!
2008 special: internationally famed reserachers in all things paranormal will give us an insight into the life beyond. Learn the techniques, watch the professionals at work, witness events for yourself and get an insight into Burg Frankenstein’s deepest, darkets secrets.
Ghosts, witches, fairies – these are the mysterious beings that apparently inhabit every castle.
For years visitors to Burg Frankenstein have been convinced that the parts of the castle are haunted. One thing everyone who has already seen the ghosts or had contact with them agrees upon is that the spirits are all benevolent.
Since the end of 2007 several groups of "ghost hunters" have been using scientific methods to record these phenomena and to get to the bottom of things. They have even had support from some American universities.
The "Ghostwatchers paranormal west" from Frankfurt were the first to use technical equipment to record the paranormal activities at Burg Frankenstein in 2007.
Then came the "Ghost Hunters International" from California/USA.
When they listened to the recordings made with their equipment voices could clearly be heard in the background. According to this research there are two good spirits in the castle chapel. One of them has apparently even told them his name: he is called Arbogast.
