SPICE SEMINAR with INGO HOLLAND
12 October 2008 ( Sun )17:30 - 22:00 o'clock
"Spice" up your evening with star chef and "spice-guru" Ingo Holland.
Ingo Holland’s passion for spices and spice mixes has made a name for him that stretches far beyond the borders of Germany. Some years ago Holland had had enough of the poor quality spices he was being offered. So he decided to purchase top quality individual spices himself and create his own mixes. He is one of THE experts in his field.
On 12.10.2008 we will be presenting Ingo Holland live!
Learn tips and tricks from the master himself and enjoy some sensous culinary delights:

Some recipes just remain a secret.... like his "Nam Prik" – a Thai chili paste which since its introduction has proved to be an absolute hit all over the country. This top quality spread is the ideal "tasteeee" complement to cold meats, pasta dishes, stews and, and, and. Even if you have never met him before spicey talk obviously brings people together and after just a few sentences one discovers that one is talking to someone who is really and truly uncomplicated, a person who is absolutely head over heels in love with spices, or more to the point with anything to do with cooking and of course with life in general.
Since 1989 the 49-year-old from Klingenberg has always been amongst the illustrious 200 star chefs in Germany. The Gault Millau, the second most renowned German reastaurant guide has for many years been awarding Holland’s restaurant a magnificent 18 from a maximum of 20 points. Only seven restaurants in the guide get a better rating.
Pleasure is something that INGO HOLLAND lays great store by and everyone who has ever met him sees this in him immediately. So now he has set up the "alte Gewürzamt" that is appointed to look like a old colonial trading station, opposite his "Zum Alten Rentamt" restaurant. Vanilla in all its glory and exotic "condiments" that raise an eyebrow or two amongst his colleagues. It’s obvious what he is trying to do: with the aromas, herbs and spices he uses he is challenging his guests to hone their sensitivity to the consistency, the flavour and the smell of the food they are eating. "you are welcome!“
